The Artist's Way has helped more than a million people access their creativity and realize their dreams. If people could pull these concepts into their lives and use them, it would be the healing power for so much of the pain and wrongs in this world. But then again, if you're not into that, I'd recommend you do get into it. So, me being a spiritual person enjoyed this book and I'm looking forward to integrating many of the concepts into my life just know that it is inherently very very spiritual. I assume this was decently intentional as he talks about God a fair amount. I feel like every time he states the words "the highest goal", these words could easily be replaced with "God". I really really love a lot of what Michael Ray has to say, it's great though, if you are not a spiritual kind of person, I would have to say this book is not for you. There is a lot of useful information and life applicable lessons and statements that really could change factors of your overall happiness and success. I cruised through the book in two days, so perhaps I'm not the best one to ask about the emotion of it at this point in time. This is definitely a very "hands-on" kind of book, I have yet to see how well all the concepts work, as I have just begun thinking about them and trying to remember them. It definitely gave me a lot of "ahah!" moments and I have 6 pages of notes on it. You get used to him and his voice leans you slightly the wrong way while still keeping you involved with how calmingly monotone it can be which sounds funny, but it's true.ĭid you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry? The good news is the narrator isn't bad, he's just not necessarily good. His tone and inflection did not match the text in many instances. What do you think the narrator could have done better? If you could sum up The Highest Goal in three words, what would they be?
